Domains and sub-domains

after domain registration finished, you could have

website, visiting by domain

business email, setting by domain DNS control.

Of course, xxx@yourname.com looks more professional and decent than gmail, hotmail which are free to everyone.

Sub-domain, yes, this is quite important. Once you have top domain for your formal website, you may set one sub-domain for your management software.

For example, members.yourdomain.com is for online CRM, and your website is www.yourdomain.com

NO extra cost for sub-domains generally.

Please go to the dashboard to set the DNS resolve to our hosting.

we may help you to do that if you feel very trouble about that.

Perhaps it is not possible you could register .com,.net which are too popular, please turn to some domain with countries, eg. com.au, .co.nz.

Or you still want to be international? try some professional extensions.

eg..photo, .photography, .studio, .design, .auto, etc.

Hopefully you have sufficient budget to register all of them!

Image Optimisation(jpg, pdf)-make your pictures smaller but look good

In order to improve your website’s performance. You should reduce your image’s file sizes。

Most of photographers know little about image optimisation, even photographers’ website show heaps of large pictures with full screen definition.

For web view, go to photoshop, save as, choose 7-9 is better than 12.

If you need batch optimisation, you could use Lightroom or Bridge Batch…

Pdf optimisation, go to Acrobat, save as pdf, Adobe PDF file, optimized,  setting

Optimisation for logos: given that you have vector file of the logo, you may choose .svg or gif on web page, .emf for Microsoft documents(docx, exl). However, if you need to apply your logo on picture, you may choose .png
